Deborah Trainer: Draw Cook Eat

Artist's Reception

On November 5th, 2009, Deborah began a year-long series of pastels based on her weekly haul from the Hollywood Farmers Market. The result was a 3 hour exhibition that took place at the Harris & Ruble Gallery Sunday night, November 14th. It was great fun and the work is so wonderful. So many interesting people came, including Scott Schaefer, head of the painting collection at the Getty and Frances Anderton, KCET's architectural critic.

As a thank you to Harris & Ruble, David and Deborah Trainer made a contribution to the Friends of Robinson Garden's book project. The Friends are raising money with which to complete a book on the estate and the couple who created it. This beautiful 7 acre estate in Beverly Hills was donated to the county of Los Angeles by Virginia Robinson.

Updates: The Beverly Hills’ First Estate book is available on Friends of Robinson Garden's website.
